Did anyone win last night's GOP debate? We asked former candidates, would-be candidates and journalists this question -- and the resounding answer was "no". Nobody won and nobody came out looking better. In what may have been the last primary debate of the season, the cliffhanger last episode left us feeling very unsatisfied. Do we even want to see if there will be a next season?

Last night, the other three were running for the VP spot with Romney..BUT...As long as the kind of questions and answers stay at the Palin level, the good and evil stuff based on misperceptions, falsehoods and in some cases, prejudice, we will be avoiding bread and butter issues that must be talked about. I would rather have the best possible, intellectually sound GOP candidate to run against Obama, not the weakest because I have faith in this Democratic president and faith in the soundness of the argument. We all lose the opportunity to catch up with the rest of the world when we're stuck in stupid.
