The group, One Million Moms, is taking aim against JC Penney again.
The new target of their disaffection: a two-page ad in this month’s JCP catalog, featuring a lesbian couple named Wendi and Maggie (sporting wedding bands) with their arms around each other, posing with their two daughters and Wendi’s mom. The ad reads “creativity, oil paints, freedom of expression.”

On its website, OMM takes umbrage with how JCP “would rather take sides than remain neutral.”
The group also urges customers to call or visit their local store managers, adding, “Please be kind when you ask them to tell corporate that they should remain neutral in the cultural war. What was the purpose in stating on page eleven that Wendi and Maggie are partners?”
OMM’s apparent strategy is to wear JCP down through the “loss in sales from traditional families,” which they would ensure by not shopping at JCP stores “until they take a neutral stand.”
Back in February, OMM lobbied unsuccessfully to get the retailer to fire Ellen DeGeneres as its spokesperson. They threatened a boycott but by March abandoned the effort.

I can't believe what the conservative lady with glasses (sorry, can't recall her name) said that economy is more important these days than moral principles/social issues... This way of thinking is what is destroying the very principles upon which your country was founded. And when a nation goes after its core principles, history tells us that that nation is on a steep decline.
WAKE UP PEOPLE and tell the Republican that their social policies are NOT your countrie's. Send a clear message and save your soul.
It seems to me that JCP showing both straight and gay couples in their catalogs is neutral on the social issues, and what the 40,000 people in "on million moms" want is to exclude gay couples, which would be taking sides.
I approve of JCP including ALL families in their catalogs. Republican conservatives- you do not speak for all of us!
