Guess we should have seen this coming.
The Romney birth certificate is out this morning - conveniently published in a Reuters report the day that Mitt Romney was raising cash with "I don't consider myself birther or not birther" Donald Trump in Las Vegas.
The Romney campaign says they got the request this weekend and sent the certificate Tuesday. And while no one is using this moment to question Romney's eligibility for President, it does invite discussion about the controversy about George Romney's run for President in 1968 (you'll note his birthplace is listed as Mexico).
Oh, the irony.

OH MY ..Romney doesn't even read his own birth certificate....
His father ran for President in1968 and he was born in Mexico..."As in Old Mexico" not New Mexico.....
Oh..YES I do understand ..Romney forgot about that...OR perhaps his father forgot about that..OH.. How Convenient..
Mitt Romney's lying acorns didn't fall far from the tree...Apparently father and son had the same inherint trait of lying when and where convenient.
The MOR..moonies are on the move again....
Kay Bailey, what an old, delusional windbag she is. Willard will win the Hispanic vote with self deportation? C'mon.
A little dissapointed in Alex and her softball questions.
RainyNW sounds like you are the delusional liberal following the "chosen one." Stop drinking the progressive kool-aid and start thinking for yourself. Kay is right that Mitt can win the Hispanic vote. With the Left wings war on religion and the Catholic church, many of the Hispanics are against the notion of abortion and the mandate of providing anything not just contraception. Just wait until the decision comes out in late June when the SCOTUS strikes down Obamacare. Senator Hutchison knows more than you could ever imagine about the Hispanic vote coming from a state like Texas. She's won their vote several times in the State because Hispanics appreciate family values and the ability to work hard and succeed-- no need to be handed everything. Kay has been fighting for Texans for years and has served Texas well. Too bad we are losing her as a great asset to our state. Glad you are located somewhere in the Northwest. Please stay there.
The word monozygous was used in the panel discussion. Not sure of the spelling or if this was indeed the word they meant. Can someone comment on this word and how it was used in discussion? On occasion, when I hear a word I don't recognize, I look it up. But I am unsure of the spelling! Loved the discussion!
Great show today. Honest, smart conversation.... and fun! I wish everyone could watch Heilemann and Steele speak HONESTLY and OPENLY about the politics and realities of the Presidential race.
I'm a fanboy.
Follow up: I don't mind bias... we all have some sort, but when it's in the open, understood and then demystified; serious dialogue can start. Only then can important topics be talked about ABOVE the bias, bias included and granted.... it moves the debate forward. You understand where someone is coming from and how they see things - only then can "open thought" take center stage.
Willard Romney is incapable of being a leader. Silver Spoon fed, beholden to the rich, skipped out on the Vietnam war & hid in France, tax evader with secret offshore accounts, corporate raider, likes to fire people, straps dogs on cars, chases down gays & shaves their heads, flip flops, caustically attacks the sitting President without foundation. A sad excuse of a man.
