Scott Walker is Wisconsin's governor.
With 99% of polls reporting, the spread is sweeping 53-46, casting serious doubt on talks of recount challenges. As is to be expected, Republicans voiced strong support and encouragement for both Walker and his agenda last night, while Democrats are actively trying to spin the vote.
But there is an undeniable bright spot for Democrats. Even though Wisconsin is now in play in the eyes of both the Obama and Romney camps, the President has a 7-point lead according to exit polls. The key will be independents: they made up a third of yesterday's voters and voted to retain Walker 53-45.
As Fmr. House Speaker Tip O'Neill once said, "All politics is local."

Today at MSNBC is Clothes Washing Day. Management has told all their Liberal commentators to set the machine on the Spin Cycle.
Too bad they are basing their opinions on actual polling data. Oh, btw one of Walker's minions probably lost last nite. Spin that please.
Enjoy it tom-4564475 because it is only temporary. New elections in November and the Republicans redistricted the State. If Wisconsin's Economy keeps on improving, and it will, the entire legislature will be Republican again. In addition, the WI senate is in recess until September. The only polling that counts is the results of the election. No spin, just facts. Both parties spin and it is hypocritical for MSNBC or Fox to accuse the other side of spinning.
Two words Robert: John and Doe.
If all of that was occurring under Walker's watchful eye, and you hold him up as your champion, what does that say about you and your "protectors of the realm"?
By the way it is John Doe. If you looked up the definition of a John Doe investigation in WI, you will find out that it is a secret Grand Jury proceeding. Any statement made by either side are speculations. I would wait until the results come out and if Scott Walker committed a crime he should be prosecuted, until that time I would withhold my judgement. I am pretty sure you would feel the same way if Mr. Walker was a Democratic politician, at least I hope so if you are a fair person.
