The second quarter of the political fundraising year wrapped up this weekend, and in their final push, Democrats have attracted an assortment of headlines that highlight the party's growing concern with the influence of GOP-backed Super PACs and the likely unprecedented outspending of an incumbent President.
Pressure mounted last week with the massive $4.6 million haul the Romney camp pulled in after the Supreme Court announced its health care decision. According to The Daily Beast, the Obama campaign responded, with a plea for more cash from President Obama himself. The following day, BuzzFeed's Ben Smith reports, the DNC sent out a pitch acknowledging their aggressive efforts to pull in donors.
Meanwhile, as the Democrats made their final push, former Newt Gingrich supporter Sheldon Adelson reportedly donated $10 million to support the efforts of the billionaire Koch brothers - and that may be only the beginning of the collaboration between the two camps.

I'm pretty sure some of that $4.6 mil also came from Holder being held in contempt. No better way to celebrate than with money. Or, that's how the GOP looks at it. At least Obama still has George Clooney tho ;)
An aside, was interesting hearing about Romney's mock Olympics. Altho the panel said there's little if any good that could come out of it-and I more or less agree-, it does in any event promote good health. Which Romney *could* of used in some way politically but is practically a moot point since the GOP are so against the ACA.
