I'm sorry but Congressman Akin co-sponsored a bill with Paul Ryan saying that abortion should be illegal except in cases of "forcible" rape. They tried define certain types of rapes namely violent rapes as the only kind legally meeting their definition. What does that mean? If someones drugs you on a date it doesn't count as rape? Give me a break!
Romney, of course, has held every possible position on choice, life and everything in between depending on the day and hour so his word or opinion means nothing at all to me.
Well Sen. Hutchinson, you want to kill your infrastructure bill, say that the President supports it...McConnell, DeMint, and the rest of the guys will tell you that it is terrible and is "socialism" and you will then go along, like you always do.
I'm listening to Kay B. Hutchinson and can not believe what I am hearing. She says Akin's comments are outrageous (Rightfully so on so many levels), but continues on by saying that the voters in Missouri will be concentrating on the issues that really matter, not Akin's comments. I can't help but wonder at the degree of Hutchinson's outrage. It has been documented that there is a list out there detailing what republicans should avoid saying on the the campaign trail (is rape on the list) ? Is her outrage based more on the fact that Akin got caught speaking so publicly about "legitimate" rape and the rest of the nonsense that came out of his mouth, especially when so many republicans in Congress are on record as agreeing with much of what he said. (no abortion because of rape and incest, trying to change the actual definition of rape) I also find it really sad that the four women sitting at that table failed to challenge her on her comments (Alex Wagner included). I'm a sixty-seven year old white male (a little bit red-necked) and I can not agree with her comparisons on what should be important to voters, especially women.
Could it be that the women Donald Trump and Mitt Romney know best do spend more time on being high maintenance than those of us who live in the real world and therefore "don't get it"... Trust me, the rest of us women GET IT.
