I can not believe that in the year 2012 you refer to the state of Virginia as the "seat of the Confederacy". If this were a discussion concerning history and the Civil War, the reference may be valid. However, it was a discussion concerning President Obama's speech in northern Virginia. Virginia was the first state in the country to elect an African American governor, Douglas L Wilder, since reconstruction. You comment, I believe, was to promote the racial undertones that indicate anyone who would oppose President Obama could only do so by being a bigot. This does not help the President. He needs to win Virginia. Insulting Virginians does not help.
