I am disappointed that Alex would belittle the use of vocabulary such as "prolix" and "profilactic". Really - when the media already has a tendency to dumb-down, why in the world would you made a deal about a word that readily available. Your actions remind me of kids belittling other kids by telling them not to act so white. Surely you are above that.

It reminds me of the bullying of bright kids in the urban school - "Why are you acting so white?" We have enough of the dumbing down in our society, especially from the media.
