There are just two of them left until Election Day.
This morning we get the much-anticipated jobs report for September, which comes on the heels of Governor Mitt Romney's success at the first presidential debate. Today POLITICO reports that the Romney campaign has a strategy in place that builds on the momentum of Wednesday's debate and focuses their candidate on drawing a contrast with President Obama's first term record. The economy, of course, plays directly into that strategy. It's estimated today's jobs report will reflect an increase of about 113,000 jobs and a tick up in the interest rate to 8.2% from the current 8.1%.
How will both sides spin the jobs report? If it's weak, can Governor Romney use it to his advantage given his recent burst of momentum? We'll have the numbers, the politics, and the strategy when we end the week that was at noon ET on NOW.

love your comment re: lobotomy/who had it Romney or us? and came across this photo -
Everybody is wondering how we created only 114,000 jobs but the unemployment rate went from 8.1% to 7.8% . Your staff should check out the Bureau of Labor Statistics web site. For example from Jan 2002 to March 2002 the country lost 300,000 jobs but unemployment held steady at 5.7%. Why didn't unemployment rate go up during those 3 months? The notion that we need 150,000 jobs created each month to keep up with pop growth and keep the unemployment rate steady is not born out by statistics from BLS. Jan 02 - Dec 07 an avg of 102,000 jobs created each month; unemployment rate dropped from 5.7% to 5.0%; Jan 10 - Sept 12 avg of 130,000 jobs created each month, unemployment rate fell from 9.7% to 7.8% If you discuss unemployment statistics on your show, you need to look at these statistics in historic context
Romney says "look at all forms of energy" - He never mentions renewable sources. He mocks progress toward independence from oil and coal. It's like someone hanging on to horses for transportation, or stopping the computer from coming into our lives. The same people benefiting from developing oil and coal will benefit from sustainable.
Food for Thought: If Romney wasn't into outsourcing jobs why would he have said He needed to get a new accountant ( afterall he said he didn't know anything about a tax break for outsourcing)
okay question how does someone win a debate when the vast majority of what is said is a "LIE"?
you alex wagner, andrea mitchell, chris matthews, ed schultz, chris hayes, and rachel maddow especially have embraced this "LIAR by saying he won the debate and President Obama didn't attack, wha?
Mitt Romney LIED over and over again.
When I started becoming interested in politics in 1960's and 1970's if you LIED "reporters called you out on it. And if you did not recant they called you a Liar.
They didn't say um he used falsehoods, deception, maybe a untruth, etc. and etc. .
The reporters called you on your LIE and if you do not own it then sir you are a LIAR.
"Simple!"
Now you all allow and explain it away and blame the person who didn't lie that he failed.
We as a society have become a bunch of whiners and complainers.
It just Fox News and the conservatives do a better job of making the mainstream media believe there LIES!
As Goerge Costanza said: "It's not a lie if you believe it!"
Romney, his campaign, his political pundits, Fox News, Rush Limbaugh, Paul Ryan, John Boehner, Mitch McConnell, Eric Cantor, Michael Steele, Marco Rubio, Susanah Martinez, Ann Coulter, the rest of the republican party, conservatives, some so called independents embrace these LIES wholeheartedly.
It's All Your Jobs To Call Out These Lies And Make The Mainstream Media STAND UP to these LIES and call them and him what he and they are "LIARS!"
Pretend where in a time when feeling guilty and doing the right thing meant something, geez;-)
